Description

Laranja Reserva Azulejo is the third chapter of Espinosa’s most celebrated series, and the one that broke the pattern — where Laranja means orange and Escuro means dark, Azulejo names the blue glaze on Portuguese decorative tiles, and refers to the band rather than the leaf. A dark Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper covers a Brazilian Arapiraca binder, with fillers drawn from all four of Nicaragua’s growing regions. Lightly box-pressed at A.J. Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Ocotal. Rated 90 points, with mocha, nuts, black cherry, clove, dark wood and spice — unlike anything else in the Espinosa portfolio.

6″ x 52 — the toro, and the vitola Cigar Dojo reviewed when the line launched.
