Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua Connecticut Robusto

For the 1875 Nicaragua Connecticut, Altadis turned to the Plasencia family and a wrapper that had never been used this way: a Connecticut-seed leaf grown under shade on Plasencia’s own Nicaraguan farms and aged more than three years before rolling. Laid over Nicaraguan binder and long filler and finished at the Plasencia factory in Esteli, it splits the difference between two worlds — the silky, golden-blonde character of a Connecticut over the sweetness and body only Nicaraguan soil delivers. Cream and almond up front, cedar and warm spice through the middle, medium in body throughout.
